16  Theology / Apologetics / Re:The Bible on: November 23, 2003, 10:45:19 PM
Not everything. It doesn't have stories about the dealings with us individuals for instance.
17  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re:THE ACLU IS WAGING A WAR ON CHRISTIANITY! on: November 23, 2003, 10:26:10 PM
But Blackeyedpeas, America is a melting pot of cultures, why be so insensitive? You said yourself that other nations promote other religions. I don't know if I would like to be discriminated against in Taiwan. After all freedom is what America is all about isn't it?

Also, you know how our legal system works, if they start allowing us to put these things in buildings, it will open up the door for other religions to do the same, then there will be all sorts of blasphemy all over the place. Don't you think not having in put in public buildings is better than having all sorts of junk?
18  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re:Homosexual marriages on: November 23, 2003, 10:09:43 PM
But wait a minute here...
The Bible says plainly that a man shall not lie with another man...

We can't just allow this!
19  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re:35 Days And Counting on: November 23, 2003, 10:02:43 PM
I was wondering why we celebrate Pagan rituals? I heard that Jesus was supposed to be born sometime earlier in the year, and that Easter was a Pagan holiday too.
20  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re:THE END IS NEAR! on: November 23, 2003, 10:00:52 PM
2nd Coming: January 2011

Is this a joke or are you serious?

It says in the Bible that nobody can predict the apocalypse, therefore, you can't be right.
21  Theology / Apologetics / Re:Why Do People Go To Hell? on: November 23, 2003, 07:07:28 PM
Well, if you believe in the grace of God, then your relatives being in hell shouldn't matter because once you are in heaven God will make everything ok.

Besides, if you can't convert your relatives, then are they actually worth anything? If they go to Hell, they deserved it.

No, no Tibby, Joseph was a carpenter. And that's why Jesus's cup was made of wood. But still you are right, it wasn't his cup was it? Tongue

I got 100%
25  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re:Devil's Advocate: A Question for Tibby on: November 22, 2003, 10:49:41 PM
Oooooky!  So, Tibby, is there ever a time that we stop obeying governmental authority?

Look at what the Nazis did. What if our society did new things that were just as bad, but everyone agreed with because it seemed like the right thing to do at the time?

And yes, it could happen. It happened to the German people, an entire country! they aren't stupid just because they are foreign.

I want a scooby snack.
26  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re:Why California has half a chance on: November 22, 2003, 10:46:57 PM
Did he actually say that?
27  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re:THE ACLU IS WAGING A WAR ON CHRISTIANITY! on: November 22, 2003, 10:30:20 PM
Something you all have to understand is, America is an extremely litigious society. If you look at Europe, it's not like this. It's much harder to start a business here. Of course we are capitalists, and this makes our society geared this way. More socialist are not as much so.

But we don't really have separation of church and state anyway. And the way our law system works is, when someone brings up something, then it is changed. Like how I can't be president because I wasn't born in the United States. I'm sure if there were a supreme court ruling on that today, it would be changed. After all, I lived here since I was 2 years old, so there is no reason i'm much different than anyone else. Then it would be discrimination against nation of origin.

But i stray...

The question is, how would you feel if people posted muslim beliefs somewhere in a public building? Or even Satanist beliefs in the public building? Or Islamic fundamentalists? Wouldn't you be offended?

We can't allow that to happen, naturally we have to give up something to gain a whole lot more. People of other religions, who have dedicated their lives to totally different belief systems will find the 10 commandments as blasphemy and will be offended. To allow us to have the 10 commandments on a government building would be to allow other religions to put theirs on government buildings.

What do you guys think? I for one do not want to see Satanic Rituals carved on our government building.

Evolution says no, but it sounds like you are talking about a dragon or something. A dragon, not unlike Trogdor!  Grin
29  Prayer / General Discussion / Re:Heart Trouble on: November 22, 2003, 10:21:22 PM
I think most heart disease is because people don't exercise enough and don't eat right. My grandparents exercise every day and have been their entire lives, and they are almost 90 and still healthy and able to walk.

This heart thing seems to be more apparent in the US than in Asia.

Also, apparently a little alchohol is good for the heart. Drinking a teaspoon of red wine every day is good for you. Anything more than that is overworking your liver.
30  Welcome / Questions, help, suggestions, and bug reports / Re:First Timothy 2:11-13 on: November 22, 2003, 08:26:36 PM
Colossians 3:18 Wives, be subject to your husbands; that is your Christian duty." But it doesn't stop here.
NEXT VERSE (19): "Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them."

But that statement says that women have to be subject, which means they must do everything their husband says, while all men have to do is be nice...

But I guess we should just accept everything on faith and not question it.
