This is America and anyone can write whatever they want about public figures It doesn't have to be true or bear any semblance of truth. It could be anywhere from outright blatant lies, everything between, and the truth.

Yes, some of the things listed were a bit far fetched and some ridiculous assertions, but there's some truth in there as well.  If this man is an example of Christianity, and one that other Christians seem to hold in some esteem, then I'm not surprised at the people who question what the term "Christianity" means in this day and age....since it appears that it means deception, hatred and aggression.  What a witness.

Melody,

There are no Christians who come anywhere close to measuring up to the Glory and Righteousness of God. Are you saying that you come closer to measuring up than George Bush? If so, run for public office.

Expose or JitC?,

We've already lost a major battle on our own soil. It was called 9-11. We are taking the battle to the terrorists on their soil, hoping we can prevent more battles on our soil from terrorists who have Internationally proclaimed war on America.

I give thanks that you aren't responsible for protecting America, and I also give thanks that you aren't in the Armed Forces of the US. Finally, I give thanks to the brave men and women who are defending us in our outstanding Military.

They are preserving our freedoms, including your freedom to run your mouth. If they fail, it is quite possible that your mouth will be zipped shut, much like the mouth of Michael Moore. In the meantime, you will be enjoying freedoms that our outstanding Military has fought and died for, including the right to worship God. Our young men and women in the Armed Services don't like you much, and they know that you are enjoying the benefit of their sweat and blood. It is sufficient to know that hosts of Christians appreciate what they are doing and pray for them every day. Other than this, most realize they are fighting for their children, future children, family, and others who enjoy freedom and our way of life.

I would simply say, NO THANKS JITC.

Melody,

This is America and anyone can write whatever they want about public figures. It doesn't have to be true or bear any semblance of truth. It could be anywhere from outright blatant lies, everything between, and the truth.

The "everything between"  could be gross distortions, added fabrications, embellishment, twisted truth, and any number of other things that are called politics. Some folks call it spin, and other folks swallow it whole as truth. For that reason, I don't pay much attention to the 527 garbage on either side.

If a horse in the race speaks from his own mouth, I pay a lot of attention to that. If there is an unquestioned public record of votes or deeds that pertain to the office, I pay great attention to that. If there are spins about what a candidate did or didn't do as a child or a juvenile, I don't pay much attention to it.

Piles of garbage is being thrown at voters every day. If you wish to sift through the piles of garbage to find a morsel of truth, that's your business and right to do so.

Tom

What on Earth (To steal a British phrase) are you on about?

Did you not just see that I posted directly from Christ's words?

Expose,

If you understood the difference between having religion and having Christ, you wouldn't need to ask.

Hello Brother Seven,

You have my interest peaked. I've used host lists, and I've also tried to add Christians Unite as a trusted site in everything, mainly the IE core and Norton. I don't use IE, but it appears to be still in action.   Grin  I've read that you have to be a genius to delete IE and not totally mess up the XP operating system.

I haven't tried to modify the system registry. I don't have the confidence or knowledge for that. I would be curious about that, but I would probably be afraid to try it.

2nd Timothy,

AMEN BROTHER! This second would not be too soon for Christ to catch us up together with Him. I yearn for that time.

Melody,

We've had many people try to post the same miserable garbage on Christians Unite. This world is getting more evil by the minute, and many are starting to persecute and hunt Christians for sport. There will come a time where the Restrainer (Holy Spirit) will be removed, and the devil will roam free. That time may be soon, or that time may be upon us. I simply know that the worst thing Christians could do would be to sit down and be quiet.

It is time to share the GOOD NEWS with great urgency.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Homosexual S&M - part of Christianity?
Religion 'scholars' ponder 'leather' as foundation for 'spiritual identity'

If there are any questions or doubts as to how far we (mankind, and Christianity in particular) has fallen......  Cry

Evangelist,

Brother, this is sickening and quite true. If you had told me twenty years ago that the Democratic Party of America would have gay and lesbian marriage as part of their platform, I would have told you - You're out of your mind!

Brother, here we are in something Christians could never imagine. This is a time of great evil. I sometimes think that Christians can slow the devil's train before it becomes an unattended runaway. There are other times that I think we may be seeing either a preview or the actual end of this age. If these are the prophesied times of the Holy Bible, Christians will not be able to slow the devil's train.

Regardless, today and every day is a time to share the GOOD NEWS and pray that every Christian yields to the will and purpose of God in our lives.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Brother Ollie,

You appear to be quoting several over-the-edge "Move-on-dot-orgers". Have you ever considered how much or how little bears any resemblance to the truth? I've wondered the same about other material sources, including some that are for Bush.

The record of their own words and actions is more than sufficient for me. I don't need any 2nd or 3rd parties to explain what they did or what they said.

Brother, regardless, I respect whatever method you choose to make your decision. I don't respect Kerry, but I do respect you.

Love In Christ,
Tom

DreamWeaver,

Brother, it makes me very sad to know that some Christians are trapped in SDA prisons. Jesus unlocked the doors to their Ellen G. White made prison cells at the Cross. Those who love Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour are free in Jesus. Jesus already paid the price in full to set the captives free. They simply need to know the cells are unlocked and walk out. Those who wish to remain captive need to ignore the Prison Warden, Ellen G. White, and yield themselves to freedom in Jesus. Ellen G. White was just another dime-a-dozen false prophet/prophetess.

To our SDA friends here who may have Jesus Christ as the core of your lives, you haven't yet experienced the joy of being in Jesus. I say this in love, just as DreamWeaver did.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Has Bush ever taken a stand on it? Perhaps, but he is not using his influence with his republican controlled congress. I say boot them all out and see where the next bunch would take us.

Brother Ollie,

President Bush is the only President since Roe vs. Wade to take the bull by the horns and give it his best shot. He actually got bills to a vote, something that nobody expected would happen. He almost got it done, and he hasn't given up.

Ref. ending abortion, no politician can come anywhere close to what Bush has tried and done. If you guessed that Kerry opposed what Bush tried to get done, you would be right. Kerry and fellow ultra-liberals were mad-dog opponents of many things President Bush tried to get done. If you want to see a new bunch get something done, get rid of the ultra-liberals in the House and the Senate, and don't put one in the White House.

(Galatians 3:Cool  And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

(Galatians 3:9)  So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

(Galatians 3:10)  For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

(Galatians 3:11)  But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

(Galatians 3:12)  And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

(Galatians 3:13)  Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

(Galatians 3:14)  That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Galatians 4:5  To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

When a person accepts Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour, they become the adopted children of God with an eternal inheritance. An unsaved person lives under the law, sin, and destruction. Jesus Christ died on the Cross to rescue us from eternal destruction. Jesus paid the penalties for our sins on the Cross and took the punishment we deserve. His sacrifice for us is free, a GIFT from God to all those who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. YES, we become His children and join a heavenly family, safe and secure in His Mighty Hands forever. Galatians 3:13  is a beautiful Scripture that helps to explain what Jesus did for us. Yes, he hung on a tree, a Cross, and he suffered a most horrible death in our place. He did suffer death, but He arose from the dead, is very much real and alive, and is our loving Lord and Saviour forever. Faith in Jesus and what He did is what saves us. Very simply put, JESUS SAVES!. Jesus Christ is and always was Very God, so you will be placing your trust and faith in Almighty God.

Galatians 3:13  Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

It is very important to know that Jesus Christ was completely innocent and without sin. Yet, He suffered the curse of crucifixion and death for us.

Thanks Tom,
It has been a long time. I have been taking time to draw near to the Lord. You are right, nothing is by chance. Is'nt God good?

Hello Brother Asaph,

YES!!!! - God is awesome and without comparison. I am also taking time to draw nearer to the Lord. I am really enjoying my Bible studies. The truth and beauty of His Word never ceases to amaze me. For me, new truths are revealed each time I study a portion of Scripture, regardless of how many times I've studied it before. Some of the younger folks might tell me that I'm losing my memory or have Alzheimer's, and that might be partly true.   Cheesy
