If there is one thing that God would have His people do amid the rising apostasy of our day it is to show their colors. As the enemy comes in like a flood, even Bible-believing Christians are apt to hide a banner which they should unfurl and boldly display. That banner is Christ. How many believers fear to speak up for Him because His name is increasingly despised!

But, as in any war of any size, many and varied flags are carried into battle, this is so in the Christian conflict too, for the Bible, godly living, faithful comrades, etc., are all banners by which we should take our stand, flags we should display.

One such banner is fundamentalism, a slogan, a battle cry, which many believers are putting aside and hiding away just when they should display and wave it boldly. Some, recognizing the spiritual decline among fundamentalists, prefer to be called simply believers or Christians. We can appreciate this point of view but do not feel it is valid in this time of spiritual crisis.

At a time when the fundamentals of the Christian faith are being threatened as never before, we can do much to show that we stand for these basic doctrines, identifying ourselves openly with them by calling ourselves fundamentalists. The rapid pace at which the apostasy is rising about us makes it the more urgent that we display this banner. We believe that there is strong Scriptural support for this view, e.g., in Acts 23:6, where we read that Paul called himself a Pharisee to show that he stood for basic Bible
doctrine and against those who denied it.

Sister, I just wanted to tell you that I see the love of God in your posts. A Godly woman, as a mother and wife, is a treasure. I'm thinking about beautiful descriptions in the Holy Bible that describe such women. Your family should give thanks for you. I give thanks that you are my Sister in Christ. Your posts are also a testimony for others to read, and I pray that many women in difficult family situations can be encouraged by what you are going through now. In fact, we all have problems, and we can all be encouraged by your testimony. I love to talk about and hear about God working in our lives, and I have been encouraged by this thread.

Sister, I pray for you every day. I was just thinking that there is always light and life with JESUS through every trial. There are no bad endings with JESUS. Everything will work together for good for them who love HIM.

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that you will continue to strengthen our sister, guide her, and give her another measure of your Grace to endure through this trial. Lord, I ask for comfort and peace that only You can give to our dear sister. Lord, I ask that you soften the hearts of this entire family that they will all yield to Your Will and Purpose in their lives. Lord, help our sister with the words and ways to minister to her family. Brother, I really enjoyed your message. Maybe it is a good thing that this question is raised yet again. We can all reflect again on the Majesty and Love of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. There is no topic that comes close to the importance of Jesus Christ. I hope and pray that Christians are further strengthened by this thread. I also hope and pray that the lost read this thread with an open heart to meet the LORD OF LORDS, our Saviour, Jesus Christ!

This is an excellent discussion, one that every Christian can benefit from. I know beyond any doubt that you belong to JESUS, and I want you to feel welcome to post whatever you wish. Disagreement can sometimes be good and help to build everyone up who is involved in the discussion.

This is simply a pleasant discussion between Brothers and Sisters in Christ. There is no hate or malice here, and I see nothing wrong with discussing this topic fully. So, Brother, please feel free to post whatever you wish. Disagreement about whether it is possible for us to live without sin and be Holy in this short life is not a matter of Salvation or blasphemy.

I, for one, would be very interested in continuing this discussion and studying the various views that you and others have. This is not a topic that everyone must agree on to be saved. So I would be very interested to learn how you think that we are capable of living in perfection, without sin, and being Holy in this short life on earth.

I'm absolutely positive that we can and should yield to God. I'm also absolutely positive that the Holy Spirit will guide and comfort us during this short journey on earth. Maybe part of the disagreement is how we say things as opposed to what we actually mean and feel.

It is an absolute fact that the Holy Spirit is perfect, without sin, and Holy. It's also an absolute fact that the Holy Spirit lives within each of us who have Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. This short life on earth would be almost unbearable without HIM in our hearts and as the focus or core of our lives.

I think that the actual question of this topic is "Can we live in perfection, without sin, and be Holy before JESUS takes us home to Heaven, especially considering that the Holy Spirit already lives within the hearts of every Christian?"

My personal answer would be "No", but I would be fascinated to learn why you think the answer is "Yes". Brother Gary, please feel free to post away.

If you put the portions of Scripture in context, they are beautiful descriptions of Almighty God. The Holy Trinity is a difficult topic for many, especially for the lost, babes and less mature in Christ. This beautiful truth defies human logic, but humans should not be surprised that the power and majesty of Almighty God is far beyond human logic. No beginning and no end is another topic in a long list of beautiful truths about Almighty God that we should just accept with a simple, childlike faith. After all, we are simply humans, part of HIS Creation.

THE WORD ("Logos" from the Greek) is JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD - THE CREATOR.

John 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2  The same was in the beginning with God.
John 1:3  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
John 1:4  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
John 1:5  And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
John 1:6  There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
John 1:7  The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
John 1:8  He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
John 1:9  That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
John 1:10  He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

God is the Creator of all things. (Part One)

(Both the seen and unseen of Heaven and earth)

Creator is a Heavenly and Majestic Title of GOD. HE spoke, called, and formed all things into being from nothing.

The ONE AND TRUE GOD is HE who is the CREATOR. All other gods are false and are to be denied. The ONE CREATOR is a GODHEAD of three HOLY DEITIES - YET ONE - IS ONE - AND IN ONE:  (1) God, The Father, (2) God, The Son, and (3) God, The Holy Spirit. These are ONE and this HOLY ONE is THE CREATOR.

Genesis 1:1-31  This is a beautiful portion of Scripture that deserves reading over and over again.

Creation is attributed to the GODHEAD.

Genesis 1:1  In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Genesis 1:26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Only THE CREATOR is GOD, and there is no other GOD. The glory of all creation is in HIM, by HIM, and for HIM. The GLORY seen in all CREATION is HIS.

Isaiah 37:16  O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven and earth.

Isaiah 40:12  Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
Isaiah 40:13  Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him?

Isaiah 54:5  For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

Psalms 96:5  For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

Jeremiah 10:11  Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.
Jeremiah 10:12  He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.

It appears that there will always be a continuing need to answer this question over and over again, so I am making this a sticky topic that will remain at the top in this area of the forum.

"Is Jesus God? - Part One" is locked and preserved for this most important question.

I am positive that many of you have already done excellent work on this topic and have already posted it in other portions of the forum. Please feel welcome to copy and paste your work from other areas here. ALSO, additional work you have done or plan to do on this topic will be greatly appreciated.

I did copy and paste one of my own posts on this subject, and I hope that you feel most welcome to do the same. This is not just another question to answer on Christians Unite. This question is actually the difference between being lost or being SAVED! So, this is an all important question that will always deserve our best attention. We should always be ready to explain the hope that is within us.  JESUS CHRIST is that hope and HE is ABSOLUTE REALITY for all of us who have HIM in our hearts.

Is Jesus God?       YES!!

The above link is in the Apologetics Area, and the topic is "Is Jesus God? - Part One". The thread is 9 pages long and has extensive Biblical documentation. However, the Biblical documentation presented that proves Jesus Is Almighty God is is grossly incomplete.

It is blasphemy to say that Jesus Christ is not God. I realize that some people say this in total ignorance and don't have a clue what they are really saying. If they did understand, they would never make that statement again. Complete ignorance of the Holy Bible is the only reason why we allow such a statement on Christians Unite. It is also a chance to give the Gospel of the Grace of God to those who don't worship Jesus Christ, Almighty God, as their Lord and Saviour.

Jesus Christ was, is, and will always be Almighty God. HE took the form of a man on earth for a purpose. That purpose was formed before the foundation of the world. He took the form of a man ONLY because HE was the only perfect sacrifice for the sins of mankind. Jesus Christ could have exercised HIS awesome power and might, but HE instead humbled HIMSELF and took the form of a man, even unto death.
