1  Theology / Debate / Jack Thompson on: November 30, 2005, 03:33:48 PM
I don't know if any of you here play video games or have heard about Jack Thompson's recent crusade against video games, but if you have, I'm interested in hearing your position on it.  I can understand if parents are concerned about explicit content in video games, but I think what Jack Thompson has been doing (calling for lawsuits and blaming third-party game mods on the game companies, accusing companies of collaborating with hackers in order to bring violent and sexually explicit games into kids' hands, etc.) is way overboard.  I think the decision should ultimately be up to the parents, and I also think that Jack Thompson has no idea what he's talking about and should get a clue before he starts calling for lawsuits on game companies.
