I am requesting prayer for a loved one that is abusing his son verbally and causing the child to develop a very low self-esteem.  This is a sweet child who is loving and giving and expresses a great hunger for knowledge of our Lord Jesus.  His walk with the Lord has already begun and he is in my prayers constantly.  Today however it is his father that I am compelled to go to God about in prayer..He is so lost and so very empty.  He has been witnessed to, rebuked, pleaded with and shown compassion but the shell around his heart is still unyielding.  Only Our Father can penetrate this self-made fortress and I ask you to join me in praying for His light to reach this empty place.  Please pray for "Robert".
I waith patiently for the Lord; and he inclined to me, and heard my cry.         Psalm  40:1

Oklahoma Howdy to Threadbear,

I will definitely join you in prayer. This is a hard world for children, even when the child has loving and supportive parents.

Love In Christ,

I can only say that I know what this child is going through.   Cry I have spent much of my life in abuse.  I still hear abuse from my parents on the rare occasions that I do talk with them.  The abuse I recieved from my parents though only verbal lead me to an abusive relationship.  I am lucky to be alive.
I will pray for all involved.

M.L. you will also be in my prayers for I have seen firsthand how this kind of pain regenerates itself in others and I pray for your release from painful past experiences and present troubles.  God heals and He knows just the right time and place to let you know you are free of past pains.  I pray that your freedom comes soon and that you will entrust the rest of your life to the safety God gives us through Jesus Christ.    Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Praying for you both, and for others. Abuse is such a dark, lonely thing.
