Title: Global Warming
Post by: Willowbirch on January 14, 2006, 04:53:44 PM
Oh no! Its coming true! The polar bears and the harlequin frogs are all going to die, and Rush Limbaugh couldn't stop it!

I have had three solid weeks of 50 degree weather. No real snow here in Michigan since December 21st! I haven't had to pull out the coveralls all winter! We have had so little snow that even the mud has dried up! The bulbs are sprouting! (Remember, this is the state with only two seasons: snow, and road construction.)

I can't understand it!  :o

It has been a really wet winter here with both rain and lots of snow. This month has been above average temps but Oct and Nov had below average temps. It was so cold then I thought it Jan and Feb instead making me wonder where global warming had gone to.

I think it's just a cycle,it goes from the Pacific to the Atlantic
every 2-3 decades.I don't believe in Global Warming.Try to tell
the people in Russia it's been a warm Winter.People are dying
         because of the cold.............literally !!!!!

Hello Curious,

I agree with you completely.

I remember a time when I was young that it was announced there was another coming ice age. This was really terrifying for a child, and I remember asking my parents all kinds of questions about this.

So, I don't pay a lot of attention to many things that so-called scientists say. I immediately think about all kinds of things that scientists say that are completely false (i.e. evolution). I know that humans do some bad things to the earth, but I also know that GOD is in control of the earth.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Proverbs 16:3 NASB  Commit your works to the LORD And your plans will be established.

Gobal warming is a future event.

2Pe 3:10  "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11  Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12  Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13  Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness."

                Hello Pilgrim:

That's not Global Warming though,at least not the way scientists try
     to pass it off as

Hello Curious,

You are quite correct. This is part of Bible Prophecy that will be performed perfectly and completely at God's appointed time.

That's what my dad always says when the news channel starts getting worried about drowning whales and starving polar bears. "They were predicting an ice age when I was in school," he says. (I don't tell him that this must make him REALLY, REALLY old.  ;D)

;D  Hello Willowbirch,

I resemble that remark. I would make a note of it, but notes take me a long time with my chisel and stone tablets.

All kidding aside, Christians should know there are appointed times for things to happen on the earth, and those appointed times were set by God before the foundation of the world. So, what men say or predict about the earth really doesn't concern me that much. I simply know that God will carry out His plan at His appointed time.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Romans 5:8-9 NASB  But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.
