I dunno 2T, that one looks like it's already carrying a load of it's own Considering my ride (not me) is affiliated with the democratic party, its capable of not only carrying and leaving loads, but flip flopping in between. Don't confuse him with the facts...lol

Call ME!
Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
A young woman at a textile mill in rural Texas, was new on the job. A flaming red warning sign on her sewing machine read "If Your Thread Becomes Tangled, Call the Foreman Immediately."
After working diligently for an hour or two, suddenly the young worker's thread became tangled. Fearing the foreman's reaction at such an early mistake, she thought, "I'll just quickly straighten this out myself." Though she tried desperately to untangle the thread, the situation only worsened. Finally she had no choice but to call the foreman. As soon as he arrived, the foreman could tell that the young worker had tried do do some of her own maneuvering before calling him. "I did the best I could," she said. "No you didn't," the foreman replied. "To do the best, you should have called me. Now this sewing machine will need to be repaired. If this happens again, you will be fired."
Hmm. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have tried to do something on my own strength. I exhaust myself trying before becomes clear that I just can't do it with out my Great Foreman. Thankfully, He hasn't fired me yet!
It may sound radical to say but when we rely on our own strength, really, it is a form of idol worship. We exalt our own strength above the Lord's. This is unacceptable to a Holy and All-Powerful God. Even our greatest efforts cannot compare with how much more effectively a job can get done if we would only call upon His Name!
We are weaklings in need of a great God. We cannot do anything without Him. Let's begin putting our trust fully in the Lord today and see great things get accomplished!
Thanks brother. This really spoke to my heart today! Blessings!

Prayer / Prayer Requests / Request for guidance/wisdom

I have a request, that I can't really go into much detail about. Its regarding some things at the church we attend. Its also the sort of thing that feelings could easily be hurt over when brought up. I just ask that you pray that God would give us some wisdom and guidance.
Thanks

Theology / Debate / Re: Should the church promote young marriages to deal with sexual immorality?

I'm not saying that some teens aren't ready for marriage. My remark about being 25 when I got married was just about me personally. (no comments from the peanut gallery about me being slow again...lol)
I'm just saying that if your seeking matrimony because your hormones are raging, and your looking for a license to sin (so to speak), you might be missing the bigger picture regarding marriage is all.

Hmmm....well...my spiritual knee jerk reaction is no. I don't think we should promote young teen people getting married in order to prevent premarital sex. I'm not sure I could make an argument scripturally for that, but its just my off the cuff reaction. I just don't think God made marriage to alieve our sex drive. Gods purpose for marriage was far greater than procreation. Sex was made for marriage, not marriage for sex....(if that makes any sense). So getting married in order not to sin, misses the larger picture of what marriage is. Now I know you said that these teens receive pre marriage guidance etc., so I am mindful of that too. I received pre-marriage counseling before I was married at age 25, and I still probably wasn't ready for marriage though ....lol So I don't know that counseling for young teens is going fully prepare someone that age for marriage. I don't know...I guess I'll just end with I disagree, but thats just my feeling on the subject. I'm certainly curious to hear from somone with more scriptural understanding in this particular area though. Blessings!
