:-\We stand before God with a choice. Do we see our personality, who we are at the moment;with all of our short
comings and weaknesses: or; do we allow ourselves to go just
a little bit further, and see ourself as God sees us?

Have I got your attention yet? Have I perhaps piqued just a
small portion of your interest? So many of us want to tell the
Lord what we can not do, what our weaknesses are, how we
are so unable to do what he has asked us to do!

Remember in the book of Gen. what Moses said at the burning
bush?  But Lord  he will not listen to me for I am slow of
speach! Who did he rob of the blessing, God?; or did he rob
himself?

Let us look at another example below. God was looking at
what Jeremiah was to become(his destiny in God); while the
only thing that Jeremiah could see was his personality(but
Lord I am only a child). Do you for a moment believe that
God did not already know that he was only a child ?!?. Do you
for even a moment think that God did not remember that
Moses was "slow of speach"?

Jer 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nationsJer 1:6 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
Jer 1:7 But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.

I think that the time has come for us to stop telling God how
big the mountains are in our life, and begin to tell the all of
the mountains in our lives just how big our God is!!!!!

Jesus said three very important words while he hung upon the
cross.  "IT IS FINISHED"

Our salvation was bought, so that we can come boldly before
the throne of the etenal one El Shaddai(the God who is more
than able to meet the need), our joy was bought, our peace
was bought, our power in him was paid for :Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Let us grow in Jesus untill we learn to walk in our destiny, and
not in our personality!

respectfully yours in Yeshua (Jesus)

First we have to see our personality agenda and just how sinful it is. Then when we see that most things we do in life are for self-serving purposes, we will see just how short we fall from the glory of God. Only the truth sets us free. Then God can do wonders with our confession. He replaces our shortcomings with His forgiveness, love, and mercy and we begin to operate more out of that than from our personaility. That is how we grow more toward the spirit than toward the flesh. Our responses have to be genuinely from our hearts rather than an act of the will for them to be real.

Ah ravenloche, my old friend. (about 25 year's worth) Wink

(didn't I last see you in person a few hours ago?)

Also as old forum buddies, I see you are trying to be soft-spoken now so I'll have to blast you heh?

(Usually the other way around, I'm normally the soft-spoken and you're the blaster)

I'm glad to see my influence is rubbing off on ya though.  Grin

You got at good point there. So many times it's hard for us to come to the concept of SELF decreasing while JESUS increases in our lives. It's so easy to get caught up in the carnal, even those among us who consider ourselves more spiritual than most. Truth is, none of us are beyond reproach so it's with this humility that we must examine our humanity.

Yes, God knows our potential, even when we don't see it and even when we seem to overbloat it too. In Christ we obtain hope and this gives us a peace that passes all understanding. We have a peace that the world doesn't comprehend because our peace doesn't come from worldy things. But at the same time we must have a humble spirit lest we become haughty. We have to find that balance. This we do by following Christ and allowing Him to lead us.

to my fellow sevant in Yeshua Heidi

I fully understand that our nature before we come to know
Jesus is one of sin; but 1John 1:9 tells us that if we confess
our sins he is faithful and just to for give us of our sins and:cleans us from all unrighteousness
2 corinthians 5:17 tells us that if any man be in Christ old
things are passed away, and behold all things become new.
We are far different after the cross of calvary, after being
washed in the blood of the lamb, and after we have put the
Lord Jesus upon the throne of our lives.

Once we accept Yeshua as the machiach, then we become
joint heirs with him, with all the promises found in the glorious
word of our Lord. John 1:12 tells us that as many as receive
him, to them gave he POWER to become the sons of God.
This means that we have the right, and authority to come
with boldness before the throne of the almighty YHVH.
Jesus told us the same works, and greater , we could do if we
were willing to pay the cost of total commitment to him.
John the baptist spoke well when he said "he(Jesus)must
increase, and I must decrease. Paul wrote and said that he
daily crucified himself, that Jesus might live thru him. As we
die out to ourself and let Jesus live in us then we step out of
our personality and begin to step into our destiny in Yeshua.

Jesus said he was the way, the truth, and the life. Let us try
to learn to step into the truth of the word, and the intent that
he has for our lives.  Let his way be our way, let the truth of
his word be our topic of conversation, and let everything that
he desires of our life be what our life becomes.

respectfully your in Yeshua

Agreed. But the only way we can die to ourselves is by confessing our sins and receiving His forgiveness, love, and mercy. Not by trying to be "good" on our own. What makes us "good" is His forgiveness love and mercy, from which we operate, not our own deeds. Our deeds come FROM the spirit, not from ourselves. We cannot not will them. They ARE His love, mercy, and forgiveness, that He gives us though confession.  Therefore knowing our own sins is curcial to receiving his love, mercy, and forgiveness. Again, only the truth and nothing else, sets us free.

ravenloche,

Only when one sees, himself as dead, a corpse, will one begin to come to the truth.

Very few, ever do, this is clear by the outlandish claims they make, about how they came to the truth..

One wonders.....if they know it..

Thanks for your post..

Blessings,

Petro
