Absent from the body, present with the Lord.  Who is Lord?
Jesus is Lord!

Eternity will not begin until all of Christs are gathered together.

If one is judged independently of others, then they would be entering in before others, who have not died physically.

This is not absolutely clear, but the following scriptures may shed light on this matter, would lead one to believe all will stand before the judgement seat of Christ together.

Stephen when being stoned to death, had a vision of Christ welcoming into the very throne of God, Jesus standing (instead of sitting) at the right hand of God.  (Acts 7:56), was he judged for his works then and there, we don't know.

Eph 1
10  That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

2 Cor 5
10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

The good, seems to include them that do good, whether this means righteousness good, is unclear, herein but;

Rev 20
12  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13  And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

What is clear is;

Both the righteous and the unrighteous will both be judged for there works..

And finally according to this verse, it says, we all shall be made perfect together.

Heb 11
39  And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
40  God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Blesisngs,

Petro

  The Bible is quite clear what happens when we die:-
  When we die,time stops for us and we go into a "sleep of death" to await Judgement Day:-
  "Don't grieve for those asleep,for they sleep in Jesus" (1 Thess 4:13/14)
  Then on Judgement Day,christians AND nonchristians get a wake-up call:-
  As Jesus said:- "ALL in the graves shall come out,to resurrection or damnation" (John 5:28/29)
  Then the christians are whisked off to heaven and the nonchristians are left standing on earth.
  And then they begin screaming hysterically as the demons come for them.As Jesus said:- "Thrown screaming into the fire" (Matt 13:41/42)
   They had their chance:-"It's dreadful to fall into the hands of God for trampling his son underfoot" (Heb 10:29-31)
  Hence the terrible warning:- "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" (Philip 2:12)
 Death is part of life.Idi Amin, Charles Bronson, James Coburn, Johnny Cash, Richard Crenna,Jack Elam, Maurice Gibb, Katherine Hepburn, Bob Hope, Robert Palmer, Gregory Peck,Tony Jackson,David Hemmings,Alan Bates, Adam Faith and Bob Monkhouse all died in 2003
   And over the years I've seen my parents die,and my grandparents,aunts,uncles,friends,a nephew,pets,but so what? Thats life!

Both.  And Neither.  Eternity doesn't have a before on an after.  Time is part of this world.
