Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee. Job 22:21

This is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. John 17:3

We know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. I John 5:20

We ... do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Col. 1:9

The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory... give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe. Draw nigh to God, and be will draw nigh to you. James 4:8

Enoch walked with God. Gen. 5:24

Can two walk together, except they be agreed? Amos 3:3

It is good for me to draw near to God. Psa. 73:28

The LORD is with you, while ye be with him: and if ye seek him, he will be found of you: but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you. When they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them. II Chron. 15:2, 4

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Jer. 29:11-13

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way... and having an high priest over the house of God; let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith. Heb. 10:19-22

Blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. I Cor. 1:8

You, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: if ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel. Col. 1:21-23

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world. Phil. 2:15

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. II Pet. 3:14

Sincere and without offence till the day of Christ. Phil. 1:10

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Jude 24, 25

He will keep the feet of his saints. I Sam. 2:9

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. I John 1:6, 7

He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit. John 13:10

I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble. Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil. Prov. 4:11, 12, 13, 15, 25-57

The Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. II Tim. 4:18

The Lord thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place. Deut. 1:31

I bare you on eagles'wings, and brought YOU unto myself. Exo. 19:4

In his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. Isa. 63:9

As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: so the LORD alone did lead him. Deut. 32:11, 12

Even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you. Isa. 46:4

This God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death. Psa. 48:14

Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee. Psa. 55:22

Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. For your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. Matt. 6:25, 32

Hitherto hath the LORD helped us. I Sam. 7:12

There remaineth yet very much land to be possessed. Josh. 13:1

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Phil. 3:12

Be ye therefore perfect Matt. 5:48

Giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. II Pet. 1:5-7

I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment. Phil. 1:9

Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit. I Cor. 2:9, 10

There remaineth ... a rest for the people of God. Heb. 4:9

Thine eyes shall see the King in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off. Isa. 33:17

The Old, Old Way

Are you walking in the light,
In the blessèd, blessèd light?
Is it shining in your soul today?
With a firm abiding faith
That will triumph over death,
Are you walking in the old, old way?

Paul wrote, "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:"   Galatians 1:6

What Paul said, was that the Galatians had removed themselves from the truth, to a strange and altered gospel, unfamiliar with the teachings of Christ. Brass had replaced the gold, "...and he took away all the shields of gold which Solomon had made. And king Rehoboam made in their stead brasen shields..." 1 Kings 14:26-27.

There is alot of brass in the church today, sadly most professing christians don't know the difference, they don't know the God they have come to worship. We have self proclaimed prophets and apostles that live by their own wisdom and are directed by their own greed.

The old time gospel worked, when people got saved, they stayed saved, they stayed holy, they stayed humble, giving all the glory to God. "Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls"   Jeremiah 6:16.

Rom 1:16  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the
power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew
first, and also to the Greek.
Rom 1:17  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith
to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Salvation, salvation from death under the law by God's perfect grace.

Rom 3:10  As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Rom 3:11  There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh
after God.
Rom 3:12  They are all gone out of the way, they are together become
unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Rom 3:23  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Rom 5:12  Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and
death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have
sinned:

Rom 6:23  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Rom 1:18  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all
ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in
unrighteousness;

Rom 3:20  Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be
justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Rom 3:27  Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of
works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Rom 5:8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were
yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Rom 5:9  Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be
saved from wrath through him.

Rom 2:4  Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance
and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee
to repentance?

Rom 3:22  Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus
Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no
difference:

Rom 3:28  Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith
without the deeds of the law.

Rom 10:9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the
dead, thou shalt be saved.

Rom 4:21  And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was
able also to perform.

Rom 4:24  But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe
on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

Rom 5:1  Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God
through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Rom 10:10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and
with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Rom 10:13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Gifts

One day an elderly well dressed man came up to another man that was living on the street and offered them a gift. There was bad weather coming that would most likely take the man's life if he continued living on the street. He told him there were no strings attached that it was his just for reaching out and accepting it. This gift would be able to take him off the streets and give him a life of ease and comfort. The man on the street didn't believe him and didn't accept the gift. The weather turned colder than normal before it was expected. The man on the street wasn't prepared and he suffered greatly before finally dying.

There is another that gives a much better gift. A gift of life everlasting in a place so wonderful that it boggles the mind. This gift is being offered to you and everyone else just for accepting it.

Jesus Christ has given this gift. He has paid the price for us that we may live forever in that wonderful place. Will you be like the man that suffered and died or will you believe Him and accept His gift for you?

Rom 1:16  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the

AMEN!

It's heartbreaking to know about all the lost people in this world. GOD'S Grace and Love are beyond human comprehension, and there is nothing else that can compare. Just think - JESUS CHRIST died on the CROSS in the place of HIS own enemies. HE didn't shed HIS Precious Blood for good men - just the opposite. TODAY, CHRIST is still knocking at the Door - Won't you let HIM in? If you have been thinking about a decision for CHRIST, DO IT TODAY!

Love In Christ,
Tom

Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable GIFT, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour Forever!

HOSANNA --- Mark 11:9

A new scene of time now begins: put up thy hosannas, O my soul, that the Lord may save, bless, and prosper thee; may he grant thee a happy new year indeed! For this purpose begin it with a dedication of thyself to God; thy time, circumstances, and life are in his hands; implore his blessing and protection over thee this ensuing year.

Begin this and every following day with prayer; let God have thy first thoughts in the morning, the impression they make will not be easily erased by worldly matters. Grace is promised in the use of means, be thou diligent, then, and punctual in the performance of them; let thy daily request be for an increasing knowledge of thyself, and Jesus Christ in his offices; for a sense of pardoning mercy; for a lively, vigorous faith; for communion with the Father and the Son through the Spirit; for true holiness in heart and life; for strength and protection against thy spiritual foes, and for preserving grace to the end.

Pray for the prosperity of Zion; they prosper that love her; for thy friends and relations, begging the Almighty to take them into a covenant relation to himself; for blessings on thy worldly affairs; for a sanctified use of health or sickness, prosperity or adversity, as God shall be pleased to send.

Perhaps, O my soul, this may be the last year of the Lord's patience and thy pilgrimage. Is thy state safe? Are thou a real believer in Jesus? Is the oil of grace in thy vessel? If so, thou art prepared for every emergency.

And now, my soul, another year
Of thy short life is past
I cannot long continue here;
And this may be my last.

Now a new scene of life begins;
Set out afresh for heaven;
Seek pardon for thy daily sins,
In Christ so freely given.

I WILL RANSOM THEM --- Hosea 13:14 & Colossians 2:15

"I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction." --- Hosea 13:14.

(Christ) having spoiled principalities and powers, made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. --- Colossians 2:15.

The world is afraid of a hidden poison where there is none. The real hidden poison is sin, which the Lord granted me to fear everywhere: for it has infected all things and all places.

But oh, my dear Saviour, thou being my all sufficient preservative and antidote, in all places, oh, dwell in me continually, and increase thou my faith, that I may know thee and enjoy thee more and more. Take away all slavish fears of death and hell from my soul, for thou hast conquered both for me.

Hosanna to the Prince of light
That clothed himself in clay;
Enter'd the iron gate of death,
And tore the bars away.

Death is no more the king of dread
Since our Immanuel rose;
He took the tyrant's sting away,
And spoil' our hellish foe.

Now holy triumphs of the soul
Shall death itself outbrave;
Leave dull mortality behind,
And fly beyond the grave.

THOU ART OUR FATHER --- Isaiah 64:8

"But now, O Lord, thou art our Father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand." --- Isaiah 64:8.

Being only clay in thy hands, O Lord, as I must not, so I would not, resist thy workings by any means: and I pray and hope thou wilt prepare and perfect me for a meet vessel of grace, in spite of a thousand hinderances.

No work of thine ever comes short of its intended perfection: for who can stay thy hand? It is thy own saying, "I will work, and who shall let it?" --- Isaiah 43:13.

An artist delights in his own workmanship, and would not leave one single flaw or defect in it designedly. Philippians 1:6. Oh, then, look upon me too, thou wise Creator!-- see how flesh and blood disorder my poor soul, and deliver me from all that may endanger my spiritual life.

Knowing thou canst do no less than a human artist, who is ever ready, and exerts all his skill to mend and perfect his work, I trust that thou wilt not always suffer these impediments to hinder and disgrace thy work.

Nay, such is thy wisdom and power, that out of darkness thou canst bring light; out of sickness, health; and though I am now destitute of strength and life, yet I believe thy work will be finished at last, and glorify the name of its Maker. 1 Peter 5:10.

Finish, Lord, thy new creation;
Pure in heart, oh, let us be;
See at length they great salvation,
Perfectly restored by thee.

JACOB SHALL REJOICE --- Psalm 14:7

"Oh, that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad." --- Psalm 14:7.

--Divine Answer. If the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8:36. See also verses 31, 32.

Not as if sin should be utterly destroyed, or entirely dead, and could not stir anymore in the heart of believers; for the Scripture speaks of them as having still the lusts and motions of sin (Galatians 5:17.); but it imports only that it has no power either to condemn or reign over us; nay, it shall be weakened more and more (Romans 6. 12-14.; so that Christ reigns in the heart even where sin dwells, in the midst of his enemies; and it is a dangerous error indeed to believe that sin is destroyed in the root.

If it were so, whence those frequent expressions and exhortations to crucify, withstand, and rule over it? Galatians 5:14.

Now sits our Saviour on his throne,
With pity in his eye;
And hears the dying pris'ners' groan,
And listens to their sighs.

He frees the souls condemn'd to death
And when his saints complain,
It shan't be said that praying breath
Was ever spent in vain.

This shall be known when we are dead,
And left on long record,
That ages unborn may read,
And trust and praise the Lord.
