Hi and the  answer is found in 1  Cor 1:15  , Lest anyone should  SAY  that  I Baptized for  my  NAME !!

The  Greek word for  NAME / ONOMA  is in the  Greek  ACCUSATIVE  CASE  and means Paul had to ORIGINATE WATER  BAPTISM , which Paul nevermdid  water  Baptize !!

The  Greek word  MY  is  EMPHATIC  which means he did NOT  WATER  BAPTIZE !!

All baptisms were were in the  nbame of the  FATHER , THE  SON AND THE  HOLY SPIRIT ,  Matt 28: 19 or in the  NAME  of the  LORD  JESUS , Acts 19: 5  and notice that the  word   NAME  is in the  ACCUSATIVE  CASE  and means it is  LIMITED  to only God's  NAME !!

1 Cor 14 I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15 so no one can say that you were baptized in my name.

Let us put this in a more clearer manner. Paul is speaking to them about a division among this group as to who they follow because of who baptized them. We cannot say that Paul "never water baptized" as it clearly said that he baptized Crispus and Gaius of those that he was currently speaking to indicating that he could have water baptized others that were not there. However he is saying that he did not bapitize "in my name" but rather in the Name of the Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit and therefore all should be saying that they are followers of Jesus Christ and not “I follow Paul”, “I follow Apollos”, or “I follow Cephas".

Hi  S F C  and lets begin with  1 Cor 11:1 and there are more verses  than just this one !!  You become  FOLLOWERS /IMITATOR   is in the  Greek  PRESENT  TENSE and  also in the  IMPERATIVE MOOD  of  command , be  IMITATORS of me  Paul  for the  B O C !  And by the  way , YE  IMITATORS  is in the  NOMINATIVE  CASE is the  subject of of this Greek word !!

#2 , The  Greek word  OF  ME / MOV  is in the  GENTIVE  CASE is the  description  of the head  noun !!

#3, The  Geek word I ALSO / KAGO  is also in also the  CASE  OF THE  SUBJECT !!

#4 The  Greek word AM OF  CHRIST / CHRISTOS  is  in the  GENITIVE  CASE  is the  Description and you can  google all these  CASE !

And will shortly explain CRISPUS  and  if you study  Acts 18:7 and 8 gives a  clear explanation !!

Look at Eph 4:4 One  Lord , One  Faith , ONE  BAPTISM , see the Greek text and you will find that Greek  word is  NOT  BAPTIZO / BAPTISM  but the  Greek word  BAPTISMA !!

BAPTIZO vs BAPTISMA One is a verb and the other a noun. Both words were used by Jesus when He was discussing the baptism of the Holy Spirit and both have been used by the Greeks as in the dipping of bread or vegetables in a broth or in people dunking in water. Baptism in water is not done as a saving action. It is done as in a public declaration. Again, in the verse I gave it was clear that Paul was talking about the baptism in water not that of the Holy Spirit which the latter can only be done by the Holy Spirit. Therefore only a baptism in water might be done in some man's name and not in that of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit alone.

Hi and this is how 1 Cor 1:15 is written and should check the  Greek  text !!

#1, The  Greek word  ANY / TIS  is in the NOMERATIVE  CASE  of the subject , IF  ANY  should  say !!

#2 , SHOULD  SAY / EPION  is  controlled  by the  SUJECTIVE MOOD  that some   SHOULD  SAY  ,  I had  baptized  !!

#3 The  Greek words  I HAD  BAPTIZED /  BAPTIZO  is in Greek  AORIST  Tense ,  ACTIVE  VOICE , and  in the INDICATIVE  MOOD  !!

The  AORIST tense  means  that  if some one had  , he had  BAPTIZED  . tha he had  BAPTIZED IN THE PAST , is not true and the  INDICATIVE  MOOD  is what said is a FACT  that he did  not  baptize  in PAST  TIME !!

#4 , The  Greek words  MINE OWN  / EMOS  is in the  ACCUASTIVE  CASE  is in the  DIRECT  OBJECT  that ir is not true !!

#5  The  Greek  word m NAME / ONOMA  is also in the  ACCUSATIVE  CASE  and that  he is not the  DIRECT OBJECT  of doing water  BAPTISMS !!

Use  Blue  letter  bible or  Bible  Hub  to check !!

 Check  Acts 19:4  and 6  !

Acts  19:4  uses mthe  Greek word   BAPTIZO  and  followed bybthe  Greek word  BAPTIMA   in that same  verse !!

In  Acts 19:3  it uses both  Greek words  BAPTIZO  and  BAPTISMA ,   WHY ??

In Acts 19:6  HOW  DID  PAUL  BAPTIZE  andmwhy isnthe  Greek  ARTICLE  (  THE  )    not in the  Greek  Text ??

All that time spent. As if water baptism, which is simply a declaration of ones faith, were something that would have been a sin if Paul did. Time that would better be put toward peoples salvation instead of arguing the Word.

Amen and Amen again brother
After Dan last "debate" I didn't want to get involved because the Bible says what it literally means and that type of debate, wastes time

Hi and why will you say about  Eph 4:5 ?

There are 3  ONE / HEIS !!

 #1  One LORD !

 #2 One FIATH !

 #3 , One BAPTISM !!

And since there is only  ONE  FAITH  , which one FAITH  are you talking  ABOUT ?
\
And since there is  ONLY   ONE  BAPTIMA  , which one are you all  promoting ?

The one  BAPTIZED   in  Acts 2:38 ?

Or will you say that the one   BAPTISM  in  1  Cor 10:2  ?

Or how will you all explain  Acts 19:4  where  the  Greek words  BAPTIZO  and  BAPTISMA  are  used in the  same  verse ?

Does  ONE / HEIS  mean  ONE ??

Hi and why not debate just one verse in 1 Cor 10:2 ?

Who was the  BAPTIZER  in  1 Cor  10:2 ??

If there is  ONLY   ONE/HEIS  BAPTISM and if Adam was  saved , was  Adam  Baptized IF  Adam was  saved ?

 O  WELL !!

Hi and is this  NOT  a  debate section ,  Shammu ?

How do you know what I am not  working for Jesus ?

I believe that I am brought an important subject that needs  debate and that others who read , can decide for themselves !!

All we see you do here is to debate one subject or another. Never anything else.
