"Many basic freedoms can be taken away. Oppression can loom over people. But no one government, or ideology, can take away the power of the Holy Spirit." Diane Derkatch "PEACE IN THE STORM"

First of all...Thank you my friends! It is good to be home again! I do believe that all of North America will be absent from the final attack on Israel from Russia and the kingdoms of the East. U.s. and allied power are the only thing keeping the attacks from happening now, or the past. I believe the Rapture will severely deplete much of North America's populace, and the resulting confusion and chaotic atmosphere the Rapture will cause will leave us open to a final powerful and effective attack from our enemies. It doesn't take much technological resource to launch an E.M.P. weapon. A small fishing vessel with a minimal crew is a very effective way of launching such an attack, and that will be it for the scattered allied forces - those left behind will be left vulnerable, and will be forced to stand by and watch as the remaining world powers take their revenge out on Israel. This is why we read these nations pounding Israel in the pages of Revelation and other end times passages without any sign of any intervention from any allied forces. It's Israel against the kings of the North and the kings of the East. Bronzesnake "U.s. and allied power are the only thing keeping the attacks from happening now, or the past."Israel has managed quiet well defending herself, physically, in the past with out America's physical power. America has only supplied her with much dollars and sold her military equipment. It is America's money and technology in superior weaponry that aid Israel in forgoing attack and the ability to defend using her manpower. The Iraeli soldier is one of the best in the world. My thoughts on it. ollie

Theology / Bible Prescription Shop / An Overdue Need

It is interesting that this section of the forum has been created. It is a need among Christians to discuss the daily problems that may interfere with our Christianity and living in Christ. These are things that should be discussed with out fear of backbiting or gossip.
It relates to Paul telling the early church to confess your faults/sins one to another. It relates to Him telling the church to care more for others than yourself and to look upon the things of others and edify, admonish, encourage, to keep one another strong in the faith in Christ.
I believe it is something that the early Christians did in assembly and which we do not do in assembly today. That is coming together and discussing problems that may subtract from our spirituality and ways to overcome and some maybe having something to contribute that would help overcome these problems without fear of the worldly strife of gossip, backbiting and the pain such would create. Those in Christ should not be of such.

The repitition of reciting does not help me as the reciting starts to take precedence over the message and I fail to bring the actions of the message into the heart/spirit whereby my body will follow and reflect God and His Christ to the natural world.

Hillary, Jezebel what's the difference
Are you all saying both are eviler? What has Hillary done that is eviler? Then ask eviler than what? Evil can not be eviler. How so? In answer to the topic question, here is my thought. I prefer "more evil" than "eviler". "Eviler has a wrong ring to my ears. Actually I do not think one can be more evil or eviler than evil in its self to even be eviler. ollie

Theology / General Theology / Who Knocks and Who Hears, Who comes In

Revelation 3:20. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Jesus Christ knocks at the door. If any man hears and opens the door, Christ comes in.
Christ does the knocking, man does the hearing and opening. Christ does the coming in.
Does this tell us anything about Jesus Christ's active part and man's active part in coming to Christ? Does man choose to open the door after hearing for Christ to enter in.?

That was quite a year. But tell me the kid that invented popsicles, how did he freeze them Cause I remember in the early 1950's I was about 3 maybe 4 years old, the 'ice man' (on a horse drawn carriage, no kidding) came by and my grandmother would buy ice from him. It was what they call 'hot ice'. A horse drawn carriage in the early 1950s and selling ice no less. Was that in the United States? ollie

what makes a denomination a denomination When men in their religion choose to name their religious groups with names they choose instead of just identifying themselves as Jesus Christ's and describing themselves as Christ's rather then of things of men. ollie

I know this site is just for men. but maybe I need a mans view point. I really need a man to talk to that has been unfaithful to his wife , and dosn't seem to know why. I am not sure what there would be to talk about if the man hasn't a clue as to why. I have read all the books on lust issues, I guess I need to hear it from someone else, that it isn;t about me.I promise no male bashing. I just need help understanding if there is any understanding.
James 1:13. "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14. But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 16. Do not err, my beloved brethren."ollie

Sorry guys! A woman has come into your clubhouse. I need to know something from the male perspective. The male perspective according to God? I will take it that is where you are coming from. 1. Do you feel that women should dress modestly for church services and functions? She should be modest in everthing at all times. 2. Do you feel that if women dressed more modestly it would help any men with "lust"? It would help many by preventing the tempting, but some are beyond help in this matter and dress would not matter. Pray for Them. 3. How do you feel about what your wife and daughters wear? They should be modest, also. They are not above God's guidance on this. 4. Do you think that women can dress modestly in pants?
Yes. ollie
