Thanks guys. I really appreciate it. You're right-I should go. What if they tell me I have to quit-that would be the worst thing that could happen right now. I've been under so much stress these past two years I can hardly handle a can of Coke without having chest pains.  Undecided Undecided Undecided

So when are you going?  Wink

I doubt they'll tell you to quit. I did say 'doubt'! I imagine they'll try to find out the underlying cause of stress and deal with that, they might suggest no caffeine, but rarely do they tell you not to get exercise (less strenuous exercise, maybe).

Exercise is good for you and is a good stress reliever.

Did I ask when you're going?  Grin

Cry  My mother has costochondritis, could this be what you have? In the past she has had such pressure and pain that we've gone to the emergency room for fear of a heart attack or stroke. There isn't much of a cure (that I know of), but she has really improved through gentle exercise, including walking.

Ibuprofen helps, Mom's doctor told her to take double doses when she's in pain. It reduces the inflammation.

Also, mom would get bad pains down her arm and side; this turned out to be a pinched nerve in her shoulder, which is relieved by putting both hands in the "OK" sign, and twisting the arms so that your eyes are looking through thumb and forefinger, and your other fingers are pointed down along the cheeks and jaw.

Why is it that since I started retaking classes, I'm hungry constantly. I wake up with hunger pangs, which is new for me.

And, is it normal to have chest pains for three days after class? I also get them when I climb. Last climb, same thing. Chest pains for three days.  Undecided

Just read this thread tonight, Whitehorse.  So sorry to hear about your health problems  Sad.   I agree with everyone else that you should have it checked.  It's probably stress related and not heart.  When you wake up with hunger pangs, do you eat and does the pain go away when you do?  Have you recently begun to take any new vitamins?  Maybe all this exercise is too much for your body (stress).  It sounds like you just might be over doing it.  If there's any kind of inflammation, ginger capsules are really good in lieu of drugs.

Hope all goes well for you.

Father, in the name of your son Jesus, I ask that you would give Whitehorse wisdom.  I ask that you would send your Holy Spirit to Whitehorse.  I ask you Father to send your angels of healing to Whitehorse.  I ask you Father for peace and grace for Whitehorse.  If Dr.'s get involved, I ask that you would give them wisdom.  I pray for Whitehorse's spouse, Father.  Help that spouse be a comfort to Whitehorse.  Give that spouse courage, Father-----all in the name of Jesus.

Peace, health, love and blessings--------------

Cris

Thank you so much for your gracious replies. It really means a lot. I didn't have a problem with the pains this week, I know it was because of your prayers and well-wishes. I did take my heart medicine right after class though. I still have some from when I was on it earlier this year. I haven't had a chance to see the doc yet, though; as soon as this project is finished I need to.

This is the first time our instructor prayed specifically for our safety before class. I'm so glad he did. God was kind-just dizziness but no pain. But we did some leaps from horse stance, and the girl next to me couldn't figure out which direction we were jumping in. So, she didn't move at all. Which means I came crashing down on her foot because we're all supposed to jump together. I think she's still mad at me.  Undecided

Sincereheart. I love your concern. Thank you so much.

Willow, thanks for the tip-I'll have it checked out. I'm sorry for your Mom and her pain. I'll pray for her healing.

Cris, that was a beautiful prayer. Thank you so much for caring.

Love in Christ,
Whitehorse

I'll get right on it!

Sym, martial arts isn't for sissies, but it is not required in most organizations to kill oneself to prove personal devotion. The new committee overruled the ancient requirement by one vote.  Lips Sealed

My doc thinks it's stress. And it's true-I have been under unbelievable amounts of it. I think my body is adapting to the exercise now.  The workouts are intense; I've been eating pretty much nonstop since I started and my clothing is getting very loose on me. So maybe it was just a lot harder than I was used to.
