Our nation needs a return the Lord, but it can only happen when the people pray by first acknowledging and truning from their sin before God.

It is herein that He promises a healing of the land.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chr 7:14

Our sin is the one which besets all who claim the Lord, UNFAITHFULNESS.

Yet He remains faithful, and will not forsake us.

We need to do what is right and support the change which Christians need at the highest court in our land.

We need a Judge who does not create laws (judicial activism), but merely judges whether laws are constitutional
this is the only roll of judges, the legality and application of laws enacted by the legislative branch of our governement.

Pray for his confirmation.

Yes the saints should pray for all in, or going in, to power.

1Ti 2:1  I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men;
1Ti 2:2  For kings, and [for] all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
1Ti 2:3  For this [is] good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
1Ti 2:4  Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

God bless

I think I like this guy. But I tried to pull up a news story, and this is the website I got...

http://swiftreport.blogs.com/news/2005/09/john_roberts_tr.html

"Conservatives hope that Judge John G. Roberts Jr. will be a true originalist, approaching the Constitution the same way the founders did, from wearing a powdered wig, to writing on parchment with a quill and pen. But sources close to the Judge say that while he covets the job of Chief Justice, he is loathe to give up many modern conveniences, including trading in his brand new Porsche 911 for a horse-drawn carriage.

Wants the job but says powdered wig 'too scratchy' "

Hello Willowbirch,

Grin  Sister, I loved the way you put that, especially the idea about the quill, wig, and carriage. I think those are reasonable requirements for the Supreme Court.  Cheesy

Back to a serious note, every Christian should be praying about the future of the Supreme Court. Many of the worst things in our society are a direct result of previous rulings. However, I would never take the individual Christian off the hook, including myself. Many were silent and others didn't yell loud enough and long enough.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Galatians 6:2 NASB  Bear one another's burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.
