Title: he's gone
Post by: sincerely on August 24, 2005, 12:56:43 PM
??? my spouse was doing very bad things and I found out, and when I did, he left and hardly talks to me now.  these are not adulterous things, but I don't think he's a Christian and I don't know what to do.

He may not talk to you much  because he feels convicted of what he did wrong.  I hope you are seeking Christian friends and leaders who can support you through this difficult time.

You are not alone.  Jesus loves you very much.

Sincerely,

All you can do is pray.  Pray for your own comfort and peace and pray for your husband's discernment.  You can't save him, and he's not speaking to you because he's ashamed of himself.  Pray that he comes to his senses at the foot of the cross - and go on with your life.

Blessings -

Hello Sincerely,

I just wanted to write to let you know that I am going through something a little similar as your situation and that I am deeply sorry that you have to go through this. I noticed that you wrote this back in August and wanted to see if there has been any change? I will remember you in my prayers.

My husband left our home for the 3rd time now, this last time was back in July and has now been about 6months. Its been very difficult and emotionally draining BUT I can honestly say that God has been sooo very Faithful. This is God’s Word to you sister please receive it and let it bring you comfort.

ISAIAH 54:4-8
Sincerely,

Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame.
Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated.
You will forget the shame of your youth and remember
no more the reproach of your widowhood.

For you maker is your husband-
The Lord Almighty is his name-
The Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer;
He is called the God of all the earth.

The Lord will call you back as if your were a wife
Deserted and distressed in spirit-a wife who married young,
only to be rejected “says your God.

For a brief moment I abandoned you,
but with deep compassion I will bring you back.
In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment.
But with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you”

         Says the Lord your Redeemer.

I've been through something similiar too.  I know you are hurting.  I got through mine by praying and reading the Bible.  I'd cry and read and cry and read.  The Bible is powerful every time you read it you'll become a tiny bit stronger.  God loves you so hold onto that and draw near to Him.  Things will get better in time.

I had the same thing happen to a good friend of mine, untill they both realized that he is Bipolar. Now things got WAY worse for her because he constantly abanded her and their baby. I think there's a side of him that feels extremely uncomfortable because now everyone knows of their situation. But the thing is no one looks down on him people just want to help thats all.

Sincerely, Romans7, and American Christian League, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all of you. I'm sorry I didn't welcome you sooner sincerely, but somehow I missed this thread. I would like to say though, that God holds you very precious in His eyes (all of you), and not one of your tears goes unoticed by Him. He keeps your tears in a bottle, He knows what you are going thru, He understands your pain. Just give it all to Him and no matter what happens don't take it back, let God fix it for you. He is faithful, just trust Him.
Your friend and sister in Christ,
Maria
