50  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Re:Chanelle, how are things going? on: September 10, 2003, 11:24:43 AM
Smiley  Wonderful!!  God is so good, isn't he?

As for being tired, I take it as meaning physically tired and mentally drained.  That is not surprising; you have a life full of activities that demand alot of attention and energy.  It kind of makes me think of the prophet Elijah when he was running away from Queen Jezebel (1Kings 18 & 19).  He had a very long day before Jezzy put out the APB on him.  First he challenged the idol worshippers to a duel.  When they lost, he slayed a whole bunch of them at the river.  Then he outran Ahab's chariot.  That's a full day!!  So when Jezebel said she was going to kill Elijah, Elijah's tired mind didn't think about God protecting him; he knew that the last time Jezzy wanted to kill the prophets of God, she killed a whole slew of them; this mass murdering queen always got her man - so Elijah ran away.  He didn't take any food, water, nor did he take his servant with him; he just ran!  (Ever been so tired you want to just hide out for a while?)  When Elijah stopped running, he fell asleep.  God sent an angel to feed him 2x's.  He told Elijah to eat for the journey ahead would be long.  When Elijah got back to where he belonged, he was refreshed and was not afraid.  When the armies tried to capture Elijah, he called down fire from heaven.  Now for some practical application...

Getting tired is unavoidable but there are some things that can
help you keep your strength up.  Check your diet and your resting habits.  Most people who have a rigorous schedule, neglect to eat well and get enough rest.  My husband has to take vitamin E and B complex to keep his physical and mental energy up.  He takes it in the morning before work, then again
around 2 or 3 o'clock.  When he forgets to take the afternoon
dose, he is so exhausted by 6 that he can't think straight and
he has a difficult time keeping me company.  But when he takes it, he has enough energy to cut grass in the evening and hold a nice conversation with me.  He also drinks peppermint tea (but if you are trying to be in bed by 9 or 10pm, don't drink peppermint after 2pm, it may cause you to sleep poorly.)

Well, I know you didn't ask for all that but I hope it helps.

You're a great mom and God is extra proud of you!!

your friend,
a.b.
51  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Update on Omega child custody on: September 06, 2003, 12:18:01 AM
Hello there!  Here's an update.  Omega is in hot water.  The ex an others have something they are blackmailing her with.  She has done something but will not confess it.  Mom has assured her that we will forgive anything and that the family is
not going to forsake her no matter what she's done.  She has been getting harassment from some girl named Jasmine and she is acting like Jasmine has some hold on her.  Omega used to fight anyone who did such things but now she is like a beaten little lamb - it's not like her.  Omega told mom to get the money back from the lawyer and just leave her alone.  She
also said she was going to let the ex have the baby and never
see her again.  But as Mom and I prayed on the phone we began to understand what the devil is trying to do.  Mom says
she ain't goin nowhere unless God says so.  Omega is in a very
bad state of mind.  She even says she is going to go to hell and mom should not worry about her anymore "If I go to hell, then I go to hell"  were the exact words.  But I am not discouraged, nor am I afraid.  I will lie down and sleep well tonight.  Why?  Because the Lord is going to give us the victory.  I don't know how or when but I am looking forward to
how God shall handle this, like a kid opening a Christmas gift, I
am greatly anticipating God's manifest power in this situation.
Will you keep praying with me?  If you will, I surely appreciate
it.  God Bless All Of You!!
52  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Matthew, we're praying 4 U & wife on: September 06, 2003, 12:05:42 AM
Please give us an update.

Don't be discouraged if things have gotten worse.  I've been taught that if our prayers were not getting through to God then the enemy would not increace his demon forces.  He has to double up, hit hard and fast to distract us from praying and trusting God.  Sometimes the devil bombards our minds so badly that we cannot get one logical thought.  He expects us to react emotionally, then do something rash and think about it later.  So it's best to gather all the information you can, then sit quietly before God.  Pray and gather strength from your Heavenly Father.  He will give you the next step.  Don't move til you know the next step.  You may even ask your pastor or a strong Christian brother to pray with you and give you advice.  But don't do anything until you have had time to talk to God and get peace about the next move.  (Proverbs 18:13)  Unless there is an emergency that needs to be taken care of quickly, don't let the devil pressure you in your mind to do something QUICK; he'll make you feel like you MUST to do it FAST.  But don't listen to him.

God loves you and your wife.  Don't lose sight of that.  He loves you dearly...

Please give us an update.

Atheist, if you don't mind, would you tell me about the process you went through and how much did it cost?  Your feedback is appreciated.

55  Entertainment / Music / Fred Hammond on: August 28, 2003, 02:00:26 AM
Any Fred Hammond fans?  My fave is: You call me friend

Perfect and true; pure in all your ways
Oh Lord there is none else like you; no one like you
And all these things keep me in awe of you
And I'm overwhelmed that you would call me friend

What is man that thou art mindful of him?
Could an awesome God find common ground within
Just to know that you delight to be with me
I am overwhelmed that you would call me friend

Thank you, Woman of God.  We need all the prayer we can get.  God bless you abundantly...
57  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Chanelle, how are things going? on: August 25, 2003, 09:01:47 PM
Hi Chanelle, I pray that you are doing well in your soul and that your son is growing strong in the Lord.

Please tell me how things are going with the belligerant girl at your son's school.  Don't give up the fight.  This is something worth fighting for, not only for your son and yourself, but also for others who will need to hear your testimony of how God is bringing you through this trial.  Don't give up; God is with you!
I pray for victory in Jesus name, Amen
58  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Re:Prayers for my sister on: August 25, 2003, 08:27:01 PM
Thank you so much for your input and don't stop praying.!!
We lost the first battle, but we are not giving up.  Some things have been said that sis has done that looks unfavorable
but we trust in the mercy of the Lord.  She is a highly emotional lady and it has gotten her in some trouble.  So she is now willing to go to counseling to settle some matters of the heart and she continues to fight the ex for sole custody.
Thanx again for your prayers.

Love in Christ,
a.b.
59  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Re:Omega's child on: August 25, 2003, 08:18:53 PM
Whitehorse, thanks for praying!  Don't stop! My sister has quite a battle ahead.  She lost the first round.  Now the ex gets 5days with baby and Omega gets only 2.  She has a difficult time listening to sound advice when it concerns serious matters and it gets her in trouble.  She was hysterical
at first but now is willing to listen to our Mom, who is
a Christian also.

Again thanx for the prayers.  I'll let you know when the next battle is.  Love, a.b.
